Nutritional Therapy

'Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.'

Nutrition is often a very confusing and nuance subject. With Nutritional Therapy, the client works with the practitioner to establish the necessary changes that will put them on the path to feeling vibrant. Where appropriate, functional laboratory testing can quickly identify the root cause of the problem and subtle changes in daily eating habits can make all the difference. Recommended bespoke supplement protocols can move a client quickly towards their goals.

”All disease begins in the gut.”

Functional gut testing can establish what the digestive environment is and what might be lurking within its walls. Bacteria, fungal and parasite infections can play havoc with your health. Using the 5R program of digestive rehabilitation Ben will suggest what to REMOVE from your diet, what needs REPLACING to aid digestion, how to REPOPULATE your beneficial bacteria, how to REPAIR digestive integrity and how to REBALANCE your lifestyle to ensure these beneficial changes last.

Pre-Consultation

Before the consultation Ben will ask you to complete a fully comprehensive health appraisal questionnaire, including a full health history. This enables Ben to learn a little more about why you are coming to see him and ensure he has researched and prepared fully to give you the maximum support.

Any previous testing from your General Practitioner or other  health providers can also be provided here. These can provide a clearer picture in order to establish the underlying issue.

The Initial Consultation

During your initial consultation, Ben will work with you to investigate primary symptoms and where they are coming from. Ben looks at all aspects from genetic predisposition to environmental  input to establish the root cause of your problem and how best to manage it. Once Ben has enough information, he will explain what the next steps will be and how he will support you through them.

Possible recommendation could be made for additional testing, food diary analysis and/or nutraceutical protocols to start your journey towards wellbeing.

Post Consultation

After your initial consultation you will receive the information you need to move you to the next stage in your journey to wellness. This may include, an ancestral eating plan, stress management techniques, exercise advice and programs and as needed, supplement protocol suggestions. Follow up appointments may be booked at this point as needed.

Any required test kits will be ordered and sent out to you with details of how to use them and where to send them.

Consultations are available in person at our Marylebone base or remotely via Skype
